Palm oil mills

Del Atlántico

Biogas

We have the technology to generate renewable energy for the operation of the mill, and to sell the surplus to the electricity grid.

Biomass boiler

It involves generating clean energy through the biomass produced by the mill, which is a renewable fuel to burn in the boiler, where steam will be produced to generate electricity. The steam will condensed so as not to be expelled into the environment.

La Francia

Its construction started in January 2011 and operations began in July 2012. It has installed capacity to process the fruit of oil palm and to extract crude palm oil, crude palm kernel oil, palm kernel cake and their by-products.

La Francia uses clean energy generation technologies that are environmentally friendly, including biodigesters.

Biodigesters

The anaerobic fermentation of the sludge obtained from the extraction process occurs in biodigesters. This produces biogas to generate clean energy, which reduces greenhouse effect gases.

Biodigesters reduce the risk of environmental pollution, reduce organic load in plant wastewater, after which that water is used to irrigate plantations. It is modern state-of- the-art technology.
