Agrocaribe celebrated World Wildlife Day with the support of the National Protected Areas Council -CONAP- and the Division for the Protection of Nature -DIPRONA-.

The activity involved raising awareness among primary and university students about the importance of biodiversity.

Members of CONAP gave lectures to raise awareness, and students produced posters with messages about the importance of conserving species and caring for the environment. They also transferred iguanas from their rearing site to their natural reproduction area, which is their natural habitat.

The activity took place at an ecological reserve that has a large diversity of the flora and fauna of Guatemala's Caribbean. The preservation of over 50,000 is an outstanding feature of the project.

“World Wildlife Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the beauty and variety of wild flora and fauna, as well as to raise awareness about the many benefits that the conservation of these forms of life bring to mankind, stated ”.
