Accreditations as official members of COLRED, to all the community leaders and employees of the company that participated in the prevention of disasters.

Agrocaribe organized Phase I and II of the COLRED trainings, so that community leaders and company employees could be part of the Local Coordinators for the Reduction of Disasters-COLRED . These coordinators have as benefit an easier access to supplies in cases of emergency; they organize their communities and work areas, spread acquired knowledge and delegate activities to their communities to reduce the impact of natural disasters.

Once more, Agrocaribe shows social responsibility towards its employees and the neighboring communities of Agrocaribe. The purpose of these activities is to give the necessary knowledge to face natural disasters in the area, identifying risks and adequately organize the community to be able to make activities to minimize the impact of natural disasters.

“It is very important that Agrocaribe organizes this type of events because it helps us find out what is going on at the local level and it is of benefit to us because we strengthen our knowledge and then we can help our work areas and our communities”.

Henry García, Agrocaribe employee

“Thank you Agrocaribe for these trainings, it awakens us and we are attentive to the natural disasters that might happen." I think it is excellent because it encourages commitment to bring it to our communities and alert our neighbors, I personally as a school principal I want the students to know about these issues, I want to teach them”.

Luis Pacheco, President of the COCODE of the community
